JOB DESCRIPTION
The principal responsibilities for the External Reporting Accountant will include assisting in the preparation and qualitative review of the company's internal and external financial statements.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Assist preparation of the balance sheet, cashflow and income statements
  • Determine the accounting and required disclosures for complex business transactions
  • Lead initiatives such as productivity enhancements and projects to streamline the financial reporting process
  • Implementation of system improvements
  • Set up and run verification reporting independently using advanced database and spreadsheet software skills
  • Review flash reports
  • Prepare and review earnings releases
  • Develop and maintain strong working relationships with individuals in other departments, both locally and globally
  • Provide leadership on teams and various project assignments


QUALIFICATIONS
  • A Bachelor's degree with a major in accounting or finance is required; advanced degree is a plus
  • CPA preferred
  • Working knowledge of US GAAP is essential
  • Working knowledge of SAP and Hyperion is preferred
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in financial accounting
  • Must be highly self-sufficient and knowledgeable to make decisions and serve as a resource for other accountants
  • Must have the flexibility to multi-task, consistently meet deadlines, and perform self review of work product for quality in a dynamic environment
  • Must be well organized, able to prioritize and have excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to drive continuous improvement and ensure achievement of Company goals
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written are essential
  • Overtime is required during various times of the month/year
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States on a permanent basis without visa sponsorship (U.S. citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident).
