JOB DESCRIPTION
The principal responsibilities for the External Reporting Accountant will include assisting in the preparation and qualitative review of the company's internal and external financial statements.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist preparation of the balance sheet, cashflow and income statements
- Determine the accounting and required disclosures for complex business transactions
- Lead initiatives such as productivity enhancements and projects to streamline the financial reporting process
- Implementation of system improvements
- Set up and run verification reporting independently using advanced database and spreadsheet software skills
- Review flash reports
- Prepare and review earnings releases
- Develop and maintain strong working relationships with individuals in other departments, both locally and globally
- Provide leadership on teams and various project assignments
QUALIFICATIONS
- A Bachelor's degree with a major in accounting or finance is required; advanced degree is a plus
- CPA preferred
- Working knowledge of US GAAP is essential
- Working knowledge of SAP and Hyperion is preferred
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in financial accounting
- Must be highly self-sufficient and knowledgeable to make decisions and serve as a resource for other accountants
- Must have the flexibility to multi-task, consistently meet deadlines, and perform self review of work product for quality in a dynamic environment
- Must be well organized, able to prioritize and have excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to drive continuous improvement and ensure achievement of Company goals
- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written are essential
- Overtime is required during various times of the month/year
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States on a permanent basis without visa sponsorship (U.S. citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident).
